About Me

Hello, My name is Emilee! I graduated as a Registered Dental Hygienist from Utah Valley University in June of 2022. At the end of my schooling I was introduced to Myofunctional Therapy and knew that I wanted to be a part of this amazing field. I decided to work in the dental office for a while in order to gain experience and deepen my knowledge of oral function before jumping in. I followed myofunctional therapy and learned things here and there from CE courses and people around me. I loved being a hygienist and truly enjoyed creating and building relationships with patients and other providers.

After about a year of clinical working I decided to jump into Myofunctional Therapy. I knew enough to see problems in my patients who could benefit from therapy, but I didn't have the training to help them. It was around this same time that my son was born with a tongue tie. This pushed me even more to just jump right in, and I am so glad that I did!

I took the MyoMentor course with Sarah Hornsby where I was able to learn in depth about Myofunctional Therapy. I learned how to see myofunctional and airway disorders in people and what to do to help them overcome these challenges. I am now able to create tailor-made programs for each individual that I work with and have so much fun doing it.

I love being in this field! I am passionate about oral function and how it can affect the whole body. I love being able to help people get to to the root cause of their problems and fix them. I am always learning and anxious to help anyone and everyone around me.
